MONUMENT, COLO. -- The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a crash that authorities believe is connected to a shooting in Colorado Springs.

Around 6:00 Saturday night, a trooper heading north on I-25 near Monument, saw a green Honda matching the description of a car associated with a shooting incident earlier in the day at Pins and Needles Tattoo.

Springs Police said shots were fired following a rap battle at the tattoo shop.

When the trooper attempted to stop the car, the driver fled, and eventually crashed into a median near Tomah Road.

The driver then ran from the scene, and was able to get away.

He is described as a black male, wearing a white tank top and black jeans.

Meanwhile, the four other people in the car were arrested.

I-25 was closed for a short time in both directions.

Anyone with information on the driver is asked to call 719-444-3128.
