COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers arrested a man Tuesday morning for breaking into several cars.

Officers said someone saw a man breaking into a van, and officers saw Daniel Trujillo running from the van when they arrived on North Institute Street around 1:15 a.m.

Trujillo had stolen items from other car burglaries in his hands and began dropping them as he was running away. Officers caught him a short time later said said he also broke into several other cars.

Officers said some stolen

property was recovered, but there are still a lot of unclaimed items.
