COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- Colorado Springs Police officers are investigating a shooting that happened around 3:30 a.m. on the east side of the city.
Officers said one person is in critical condition with a single gunshot wound to the chest.
The victim is being treated at Memorial Hospital.
Officers said they received several calls of "shots fired" in the area of Airport Road and Murray Boulevard.
The investigation is ongoing.
No suspect or suspect vehicle descriptions are available.
Wednesday night officers responded to the 800 block of Sunset Road and found a number of shell casings in the road after someone called saying they heard gunshots around 9:14 p.m. More shots were fired around 10:50 p.m.
No one was hurt in that shootings, but a vacant home and a few cars were hit.
