PUEBLO, COLO. -- A Pueblo man is behind bars, accused of sexually assaulting a young girl.
Pueblo Police arrested 40-year-old Lloyd McCracken on Monday, after a woman came to the department to report the abuse.
The victim told police McCracken has been sexually abusing her for several years.
McCracken's arrest warrant indicates the victim was living with him, although the nature of their relationship is not clear.
It said the victim finally decided to report the sexual abuse after being encouraged by friends to do so.
According to the warrant, the sexual encounters began when the victim was younger than 13, and slowly escalated over the years to include oral sex, masturbation and sex.
The document said in many cases, the victim would go through with McCracken's sexual request, because he would then leave her "alone for a week or so."
It said this went on for several years, with the most recent encounter occurring on June 3, 2012.
According to the warrant, when McCracken was arrested, he admitted to police he has a "sexual addiction" that he has never sought counseling for.
He also alluded to also being abused as a child, which is why he thought his behavior was normal.
McCracken also told detectives he was "glad this has occurred, because it was something he could not stop on his own."
Lloyd McCracken has been charged with sexual assault on a child, sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, and sexual assault pattern of abuse.
