COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The Colorado Springs Police Department said a toddler was found wandering alone early Saturday morning.

Police received a call around 2:30 a.m. for a toddler who was walking along Murray Boulevard, near the Tanager Meadows Apartments.

Officers said the young boy was between the ages of one and two-years-old.

They said his parents were no where to be found.

The toddler was taken to the Sand Creek Substation, where the Department of Human Services took custody.

After searching several apartments, the CSPD said they found the child's mother.

No additional details have been released.
