COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs City crews are working to clear tree limbs and debris that fell as a result of Wednesday and Thursday night's hail storm.

City crews are removing fallen limbs from right of way trees, but private tree limb and debris removal falls on the homeowner. Officials said people can take private tree limbs to Rocky Top Resources in the 1700 block of E. Las Vegas Street. They also said people should call a licensed tree service to handle advanced tree work.

If you see debris in the street, call the Streets Division at (719) 385-5934. Anyone with debris in their own yard or driveway must clean it up themselves. Officials said not to sweep debris into the street because it will clog the drainage system.

Waste management is a private sector in Colorado Springs, so the city does not own garbage trucks or dump sites.
