LAMAR, COLO. -- Lamar Police officers arrested a man who was driving without a license over the weekend and later found $1,500 worth of drugs in his car.

Officers recognized 26-year-old Paul Carrillo from previous traffic stops while he was driving in the 200 block of East Park Street around 2:45 p.m. Saturday and found he was driving without a license. When Carrillo entered a home, officers surrounded it while they got a search warrant, then arrested him when he finally came out.

On Tuesday, officers got a warrant to search the car and found 27.4 grams of suspected cocaine, 57 unknown pills and some suspected marijuana, all together worth about $1,500.

Carrillo is being held on a $50,000 bond. His license was revoked because he is a previous traffic offender.
