COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers arrested a man early Wednesday morning for allegedly cutting his girlfriend's son with a box cutter.
According to officers, 49-year-old Oliver Shaw slashed his girlfriend's 35-year-old son in the stomach after a family disturbance in the 300 block of South Hancock Avenue.
The son had a significant cut on his stomach and had to be taken to the hospital. He is expected to be okay.
Officers arrested Shaw and charged him with first degree assault. They did not say what led to the argument or how old the mother is.
