WALSENBURG, COLO. -- Ryan, Dylan and Lee Grace Dougherty, better known as the Dougherty Gang, were all sentenced Monday for crimes they committed while on the run in Colorado in August.
The siblings began their multi-state crime spree in the southeast, accused of firing shots at police officers in Florida and robbing a bank in Georgia. They were caught in southern Colorado after a shootout with authorities near Walsenburg.
Dylan received 32 years in prison, the maximum sentence, after pleading guilty to first degree assault. Lee Grace received 24 years of the maximum 28 for first degree assault and menacing, and Ryan was sentenced to 18 years of the possible 20 for five counts of menacing.
They are expected to be transferred from state to federal custody within days, if not hours.
The U.S. Marshals Service will transport them to Albany, Ga., for a court hearing on May 15.
