PUEBLO, COLO. -- A makeshift memorial adorned with crosses, stuffed animals, flowers and prayer candles sit as a reminder of Saturday night's devastating fatal car crash.

Initial reports said 36-year-old Gilbert O. Sanchez, the driver of the Dodge truck, ran a red light, hitting a Chevy Cobalt and killing the three teens inside: 13-year-old Serina Sena, 14-year-old Selena Mascarenas and 18-year-old Anisa Montoya.

The three teens, all from Alamosa, were on their way home after a church event in Pueblo.

Sunday friends, family and strangers paid their respect to the three teenage girls.

"It could have been any of us in the car, and it was just a drunk driver making a stupid decision, and it could have been us at that time at this intersection," Derika Forrester, a Pueblo resident paying respect to victims, said.

Sanchez is suspected of driving while intoxicated, and according to the Valley Courier, speeding at more than 120 mph.

Two juvenile passengers in the Dodge truck were also seriously injured and ejected from the vehicle.

"I think it help the family of the people that perished, and it also helps to give people an insight on what drinking driving can do," Brooke Talley, a Pueblo resident paying respect to victims said.

If there's anything to take away from this fatal accident it's, drinking and driving kills.

Sanchez has been booked into the Pueblo County Jail with no bond.

He is facing charges of vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, and DUI.
