A military helicopter was called in to help the nine stranded soldiers, who were on a training mission on the mountain.
Officials with Fort Carson said one of the soldiers broke their leg.
They said the troops are from a visiting unit, and are training at and near the Mountain Post.
The El Paso County Search and Rescue team said the soldiers called for help around 5:00 p.m. when they ran into trouble about a mile from the peak.
