COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Fort Carson will hold a memorial service Wednesday afternoon for a fallen member of the Mountain Post.

Sgt. Daniel J. Brown of Jerome, Idaho was killed in Afghanistan last month.

The 27-year-old suffered fatal wounds from an improvised bomb.

Brown was a soldier with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division based at Fort Carson.

The memorial service at Provider's Chapel will include a traditional roll call, a rifle squad salute and the playing of Taps.
