Two robbed at gunpoint in separate cases

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police are looking for two separate men who both used guns to steal items from victims in separate cases Monday.

The first happened around 6:21 a.m. in the 1200 block of Sandalwood Drive. Officers said a 5'11" black man with a medium build came up to a man who was taking out his trash before going to work, showed a gun and took his wallet.

The suspect was wearing a black hoodie and black pants and ran southwest through the apartment complex after the robbery.

Around 11:46 p.m. Monday night, officers said a 5'7," 160 pound Hispanic man came up to a woman walking on Circle Drive near Gunnison Street and said he had a gun. After stealing her purse, the man, who was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with white stripes, ran into an industrial area.

Nobody was hurt in either incident.
