EL PASO COUNTY, COLO. -- Republican Presidential Candidate Rick Santorum has won El Paso County.
As of 10 p.m. Tuesday, Santorum was leading the pack with 95 percent of the precincts reporting.
More than 10,400 registered Republicans participated in the caucus, according to the El Paso County Republican Party Headquarters.
Rick Santorum received 4,977 votes, Mitt Romney received 3,251 votes, Newt Gingrich received 1,277 votes and Ron Paul received 1,034 votes.
Participants gathered at their designated precinct at 7 p.m. Tuesday night, where they talked about the presidential candidates, then participated in a straw poll.
The results were then called into the local Republican headquarters, where they were tallied, then sent to the state.
Colorado's caucus is not binding, meaning the state's delegates will not be allocated based on the results.
