DENVER (AP) -- The Colorado Board of Education is considering new rules for online schools that would require them to disclose more about their finances and follow the same rules as regular schools.

The board is expected to vote on rules Wednesday that would also require more state scrutiny.

According to the Denver Post, the rules are being considered because of a law passed last year following scathing reports on Colorado's online schools.
