COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Stranger danger continues as police investigate after another Colorado Springs student claimed she was approached by a stranger while on her way to school.
Officers said on Monday the parent of a child at Sabin Middle School contacted authorities after his daughter said she was approached by a strange man.
The child had been walking to school in the area of Academy Boulevard and North Carefree Circle when a man walked up to her.
She claims he made a statement that made her concerned for her safety, but officers have not said what that statement was.
The suspect has been described as a Hispanic man about 30 to 40 years old.
He is about 5'7'' to 5'9'' tall with a medium build and black or dark brown curly hair and a mustache.
He may be driving a dark green or other dark-colored older model pickup truck.
Officers said they are working closing with the School District 11 School Security Team and school administration to get information out to both parents and students to be vigilant of any suspicious activity.
