SOUTHERN COLORADO -- Colorado Gives Day encourages charitable giving by providing comprehensive, objective and up-to-date information about local charities and an easy way to support them online.

Thanks to the generous contributions of FirstBank, Community First Foundation and multiple local foundations, all third-party processing fees will be covered so 100 percent of donations will go directly to the organization(s) of the donor's choice.

Colorado citizens are encouraged to support their favorite cause on Dec. 6 or through noon Dec. 7 by donating online. Giving Stations staffed by volunteers will also be set up throughout the community at the following locations:

Last year, Coloradans' gave more than $8.4 million, and this year we predict even higher participation."

Last year, the vast majority of donations to Colorado Gives Day were given to Denver organizations. This year, nonprofits from the Pikes Peak region are working together to make this year extremely successful in otheir own community.
