COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- An armed suspect looking for drugs holds up a Safeway pharmacy Thursday evening.

Colorado Springs police were called to the Safeway store in the 1400 block of South Murray Boulevard in response to a robbery call.

Police say the suspect approached the pharmacy located inside the store and asked for drugs.

He reportedly lifted up his shirt to display a handgun tucked in his waistband.

The suspect was able to take two bottles of a narcotic pain killer before running from the store.

A K-9 unit was unable to track him.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20's.

He was last seen wearing a dark hoodie with a white logo on the left breast, light blue jeans, and dark glasses.

He has light, short hair that may have been spiked or in a crew cut style.
