PUEBLO, COLO. (AP) -- A 50-year-old nursing home resident is in jail after staff members found a canister of cocaine hidden in an air vent in his room.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports Marlin Hosey Rollins was arrested Tuesday at Trinity Life Gardens Assisted Living.

Police had gone to the nursing home after a resident tested positive for cocaine.

That resident told police he had smoked coke with Rollins in his room.

Nursing home workers later found the canister with cocaine.

The Chieftain reports Rollins allegedly admitted buying and smoking the cocaine and allegedly said another patient owed him $100 for using some of it.

It's unclear whether Rollins has a lawyer.

Rollins also was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court for failure to comply with day reporting.
