PUEBLO, COLO. -- A convicted sex offender and a runaway girl, both from Illinois, were found together in Pueblo.
Wednesday night Pueblo Police officers took 22-year-old John David Allen and a 15-year-old girl into custody after receiving information from detectives in Illinois that the pair may be in the area.
Officials say Allen was expecting money to be wired to him, but undercover sheriff's deputies and the U.S. Marshal Service were waiting for him when he arrived to pick it up.
He and the girl were taken into custody without incident.
Allen was arrested on a nationwide extradition warrant for failing to register as a sex offender.
