Woman punches police officer in the face

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A Colorado Springs woman was arrested early Friday morning after punching a Colorado Springs Police officer in the face.

Medical personnel were at the intersection of Tejon Street and Pikes Peak Avenue downtown around 2:14 a.m. providing assistance to an injured person when 22-year-old Amanda Baity approached them aggressively.

Baity was told to move away but did not listen.

An officer tried to move her away, which is when she punched the officer in the face.

Baity was then arrested. Officers did not say what relationship, if any, she had with the injured person.
