COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A door-to-door fundraising campaign turned terrifying for a group of Coronado High School students Wednesday night.
Colorado Springs Police officers were sent to the 5900 block of Chokecherry Drive near Centennial Boulevard after getting a report of shots being fired in the neighborhood.
Police said three teenagers were going door-to-door when a man in one of the homes they stopped at became verbally and physically abusive.
The man grabbed one of the boys, but he broke free, and the teens began to run.
The suspect gave chase and reportedly fired two rounds from a handgun at the teenagers.
Officers were able to take 38-year-old Arthur Baldwin into custody without incident.
They also recovered a .25 caliber handgun.
Baldwin was charged with felony menacing and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
None of the students were injured.
