COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Drivers be aware, there could be several traffic delays starting Monday due to some events happening around Colorado Springs this week.
Motorists should be on the lookout for delays near Peterson Air Force Base starting Monday and running through Friday due to an emergency response exercise.
Both visitors and employees should expect delays at all entry gates and there will also be some delays where exercise scenarios are conducted.
Drivers should also be aware of several road closures and detours this week due to the USA Pro Cycling Challenge.
The prologue begins in Colorado Springs Monday and officials say several highways will be impacted, including I-25, U.S. 24 and Business U.S. 24.
