Fatal crash on Garden of the Gods Road

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A crash late Thursday afternoon at Chestnut and Garden of the Gods Road left a motorcycle rider dead.

Officials had to close down lanes as the Colorado Springs Fire Department worked on the scene.

Crews said a motorcycle hit the back of a pickup truck.

Two riders die on same day

The driver of the motorcyle was killed but was wearing a helmet at the time.

The victim's name hasn't been released, and officials have not released any other information.
