DENVER (AP) -- The National Weather Service has issued flood advisories for some Colorado rivers because of the chance of more thunderstorms.

The weather service said Wednesday flooding is possible on the South Platte near Kersey, the Colorado River near Kremmling.and the Blue River in Summit County.

Weather forecasters said more thunderstorms are expected but they aren't expected to be slow-moving and the threat of flash flooding is minimal. However, with moist soil conditions following several days of storms, heavy rainfall may still be capable of producing local flooding or flash floods.

The area where a wildfire destroyed 160 homes west of Boulder has been faring well despite the wet weather. Emergency management coordinator Mike Chard said only about a quarter-inch of rain fell there Tuesday night, not enough to trigger any mudslides.
