COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A memorial service is being held Wednesday for a Fort Carson soldier who died overseas.

Friends and family will gather to remember Eric Soufrine from the First Brigade Combat Team who was killed while serving in Afghanistan.

His family said he was two weeks away from completing his tour when he died.

The service will be held Wednesday morning at 11 at the Soldiers' Memorial Chapel.

It will include the traditional roll call, a rifle squad salute and the playing of Taps.
