COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Anti-tax crusader Douglas Bruce is scheduled to appear in a Denver courtroom Monday to be arraigned on tax evasion charges.
However, Bruce said he plans to seek to have the case dismissed.
He stands accused of tax evasion for allegedly failing to report money that went to a nonprofit group fighting government spending.
In a new
complaint, Bruce is also denying allegations that he illegally offered legal advice to people last year.
The newest allegations stem from a complaint alleging Bruce was practicing law without a license when he offered advice relating to lawsuits over a Colorado Springs Charter Initiative that never made it on the ballot.
The Counsel for the Colorado Office of Attorney Regulation filed that complaint.
