COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. (AP) -- A bounced check for a pizza could cost a Colorado man a lot of dough.
Russell Tellup gave a Domino's Pizza delivery driver a $20 check for a pizza and the check bounced.
Tellup says he never got a letter that said he owed forty dollars: $20 for the pizza, plus $20 more.
Tellup says he received a summons in the mail a few days ago.
The company that owns the store that delivered the pizza said it wanted $743.85 to cover court costs and attorney fees.
Company attorney Herman Lohse told KRDO-TV there has to be a penalty for failure to pay.
Tellup has the option of settling out of court for $600. He said that is what he plans to do.
