COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- Firefighters are battling a few major fires in southeast Colorado this weekend.

Fire managers say a 9,890-acre fire north of Kim is about 30 percent contained.

The 15-square-mile fire initially was estimated at more than double that size, but that has been revised.

Fort Carson officials say two wildfires burning on the Army's Pinon Canyon training site were each 75 percent contained Saturday.

Together, those fires are burning on about 68 square miles.

All are believed to have been sparked by lightning.

Firefighters were dealing with forecasts of thunderstorms, hail and up to 60 mph gusts in parts of southeast Colorado on Saturday.
