COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- It was a scary ride home for some Colorado Springs students when an SUV collided with their bus on Thursday afternoon.
A District 11 bus was stopped at a traffic light at Palmer Park Boulevard and Space Center Drive when Colorado Springs police said an SUV struck a car, which then slid into the bus.
There were about 30 students on board at the time.
One child was transported to Memorial Hospital after complaining of neck pain.
The child was treated and released.
The driver of the SUV was cited for careless driving.
