COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A recent survey found that American children spend up to 8 hours a day in front of some type of electronic media, including the television, video games or computer.

Wendy Brez-Dahl from the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region was on FOX21 Morning News to talk about what kinds of influences children are encountering and why it is so important for parents to be aware of what they are seeing on a daily basis.

Brez-Dahl suggests learning more from a recent article published by Parenting or at www.CommonSenseMedia.org.
