250 Fort Carson soldiers welcomed home

FORT CARSON, COLO. -- Many southern Colorado families were waiting eagerly Tuesday as their loved ones came back from deployment.

Approximately 250 soldiers from Fort Carson's 3rd Brigard Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division were welcomed in a ceremony, which was held Tuesday afternoon in the Special Events Center on post. The soldiers of the 3rd BCT served 12 months assisting with Iraqi government on strengthing their cities by providing essential services such as water and electricity.

Approximately 50 soldiers of the 63rd Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Company, 71st Ordinance Group, will be welcomed at the second ceremony.
