AGATE, COLO. (AP) -- A truck driver from St. Louis is accused of driving the wrong way and killing a man in a head-on crash on Interstate 70 in Colorado.
The Colorado State Patrol said Monday that 33-year-old Jason Ross, was arrested on seven charges, including vehicular homicide and driving under the influence of alcohol, following Sunday night's crash. It happened near Agate, about 60 miles east of Denver.
Seventy-one-year-old Martin Hernandez of Lamar died following the collision. Two other passengers were injured -- 77-year-old Maria Hernandez of Lamar and a 9-year-old from Evergreen.
The State Patrol said the truck was operated by USA Truck.
The Denver Post said drivers alerted authorities to the truck and that a sheriff's deputy tried to pull it over.
