FORT CARSON, COLO. -- Fort Carson officials have released a wanted poster for the man who fired a gun at a Burger King restaurant on base at Fort Carson Monday evening.
Officials took the manager of the restaurant to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries after the man shot him during an armed robbery just after 8 p.m. that evening.
The man is described to be in his mid-20s to early 30s. He is approximately 5'8" with dark, short hair and light brown/hazel eyes. He has a light complexion but appears to be Black or Hispanic, weighing about 165 pounds.
The night of the shooting he wore baggy jeans and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt. Officials said he used a .380 caliber handgun to shoot the manager and stole about $644 before fleeing on foot.
Fort Carson officials closed all gates following the shooting, but normal access was restored around 1 a.m. Tuesday.
