COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Republican U.S. Senate nominee Ken Buck was in Colorado Springs for a unity rally Monday.
He is trying to gain support from Jane Norton's supporters, whom he beat in the Republican primary Aug. 10.
He is also turning his focus to incumbent Democratic senator Michael Bennet.
"There is a stark difference between Michael Bennet and Ken Buck, and I believe the power rests with the people, and the best decisions are made in the local communitiesand the states, not the federal government," Buck said.
Buck announced he plans to give up two months of pay while he campaigns. The Weld County District Attorney said he will stay in regular contact with his office while his on the campaign trail.
