DENVER (AP) -- The Colorado attorney general says AMC Entertainment Inc. will be divesting eight movie theaters in Illinois, Colorado and Indiana to relieve antitrust concerns over its proposed acquisition of Kerasotes Showplace Theatres.
Colorado Attorney General John Suthers said Monday that AMC agreed to divest its Kerasotes Colony Square 12 in Louisville and Kerasotes Olde Town 14 theater in Arvada, plus two theaters in Indiana and four in Illinois.
Suthers' office characterized AMC's proposed acquisition as a $275 million deal.
