BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — Boulder County District Attorney Stan Garnett, a Democrat, is expected to launch a bid to unseat Colorado Attorney General John Suthers, a Republican.
Garnett says he will file paperwork Thursday to officially enter the race. He has been the Boulder County prosecutor for nearly 15months.
Garnett recently criticized Suthers, who is seeking a second term, for joining a national lawsuit to block the federal bill overhauling health care.
No Republicans are running against Suthers.
