DENVER, COLO. (AP) -- Colorado business leaders and conservationists say the state will face shorter winters and environmental problems if steps aren't taken to address climate change.

They are releasing a report Tuesday on the changes to Colorado's weather as a result of increased greenhouse gases.

Warmer temperatures are blamed for the bark beetle's decimation of more than 3 million acres of pine trees in Colorado and Wyoming.

Colder, longer winters are needed to kill the beetles.

Warmer, shorter winters are also seen as a threat to Colorado's ski industry.

State forest managers, environmentalists and ski industry officials say greenhouse gases blamed for global warming must be reduced.
