DURANGO, Colo. (AP) -- Sen. Michael Bennet says the American economy is undergoing a "false recovery."
The Democratic senator kicked off a series of jobs talks with about 30 small business owners Sunday in Durango.
The senator said that the country is undergoing something of a "false recovery" because personal saving rates are so low. Bennet said that rising health care costs are hurting middle-class families. But he said Colorado is better off than the rest of the country.
The senator holds another business round-table Monday in Greeley.
