DENVER (AP) -- A Denver jury has ordered a camping outfitter to pay $660,000 to the family of two hunters killed when they used a heater indoors.

The jury found that the hunters, not The Coleman Co. of Wichita, Kan., were mostly responsible for the 2006 accidental deaths. But the jury still awarded an estimated $660,000 to relatives of 51-year-old Mark Torrey and his son, 26-year-old Christopher Torrey.

The Torreys died of carbon monoxide poisoning after using Coleman's Focus 15 propane heater in a cabin in Gilpin County. The heater is for outdoor use only, but the jury found that Coleman was negligent in making sure the heater was not a risk.

A lawyer for Coleman didn't comment on the award, saying the outfitter has not yet decided whether to appeal.
