BOULDER, Colo. (AP) -- The trial continues for a Longmont man accused of strangling and slashing his ex-wife's throat and leaving her body in a canyon more than 20 years ago.

Jurors on Thursday saw autopsy and crime scene photos that showed Carol Murphy face down in Left Hand Canyon. Kevin Elmarr was charged after investigators recovered DNA evidence from Murphy's body. She was last seen riding a motorcycle with Elmarr.

Prosecutors say custody battles and overlapping relations and affairs provide Elmarr a motive. Defense attorneys say Elmarr's DNA on Murphy proves the two had a physical relationship, not that he killed her.
