COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- Colorado Springs police are investigating an overnight shooting that left one person dead.
Officers responded shortly after midnight Wednesday to a report of a shooting at the Birchwood Village Apartments in the 3600 Block of East Uintah Street, and found that an adult male had been shot.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.
Sgt. Steve Noblitt says officers interviewed other people who were in the apartment but there was no probable cause to make an arrest.
The police department's Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the incident as a suspicious death.
The man's name has not been released.
