Nature centers will have reduced hours in 2009

County budget cuts to blame

EL PASO COUNTY, COLO. --

To address county budget reductions, the El Paso County Parks Nature Centers at Bear Creek and Fountain Creek will reduce days and hours of operation starting Jan.1, 2009. 

The El Paso County Parks Nature Centers will be open to visitors Wednesday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Outdoor education programs will be reduced in 2009 but will continue with field trips for schools and summer nature camps.
