Marco Lee accused in Ken Jordan's murder

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The man accused of shooting and killing Colorado Springs police officer Ken Jordan is changing his plea, as part of a deal.

Marco Lee is accused of killing 32-year-old Ken Jordan during a DUI traffic stop two years ago this month.

Witnesses say 27-year-old Lee opened fire unprovoked and shot Jordan several times.

Lee was charged with first degree murder for the crime.

Prosecutors will officially offer Marco Lee a plea deal this Friday instead of taking the case to trial.

Specifics on the deal's parameters are slim but sources told FOX21 News that Lee is expected to plead guilty.

Prosecutors had originally planned to seek the death penalty if Lee was convicted.

A gag order that's been in place for several months now has those involved remaining tight-lipped.

FOX21 News will continue to follow this story, and bring coverage of that hearing on Friday.
