EPCO Clerk & Recorder office layoffs

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- More county jobs are being cut.

The El Paso County Clerk & Recorder's office is reducing its workforce to balance its 2009 budget, after ballot question 1A was rejected by voters last month.

The positions include seven vacant positions and 19 currently held positions that won't be filled in the future.

Full-time layoffs include 11 positions in the motor vehicle, election, and other departments.
