Canines to congregate on the concrete
The Promenade Shops at Briargate will be the site of this weekend's "Yappy Hour 2008!" sponsored by Petacular magazine.
FOX21 Morning News anchor Mike Brookbank talked with publisher Audree Grubesic on the Thursday, Nov. 13, morning show about the event.
Grubesic said the event will be staged on the patio area outside of Ted's Montana Grill restaurant, located in the southwest corner of the shopping center. Hours are from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
A variety of pet-focused businesses will participate, such as Petco, Bob Penkhus Volvo Mazda with its "SUV of the Year," events for children, dog training demonstrations by Sit Means Sit, a doggie day care business, and more.
The Colorado College Tigers' hockey team will also attend.
"Colorado Springs is the most pet-friendly city in the country," said Grubesic, and says it's a great event for people who want to have some social time with their dogs.
The Promenade Shops at Briargate center is located at 1885 Briargate Pkwy. in Colorado Springs.
