COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Tucked away in a plaza near Academy Boulevard and Astrozon Boulevard in Colorado Springs is Her Story Cafe.

Inside you'll find Liz Rosenbaum, the owner. She names every item on her menu after an inspirational woman.

You can order the Molly Brown breakfast sandwich, The Rosa Parks Peanut Butter Pancakes and a local favorite, The Jerri Marr Platter, named after the woman people turned to during the Waldo Canyon Fire.

Rosenbaum is a former history teacher. Since making her dream come true on becoming a chef, she wanted to continue the historical piece of her. She uses her cafe to educate the community on women who've made a difference in society.

With the help of her entire family, she created the Jerri Marr Platter.

Rosenbaum said it was named after Marr because it has everything on it, and Marr handles everything.

It was created during the first week of the Waldo Canyon Fire.

Rosenbaum said after seeing Marr on TV almost every day, it made sense to her and her family.

"We were doing our briefings one morning and they said, 'hey what do you think of your sandwich?' And I said, 'I haven't eaten yet' and they said 'no your sandwich, there's one named after you," Marr said.

So, she knew it was important to visit the cafe and taste the sandwich for herself.

It includes a choice of three sandwiches, Mac and cheese, soup and banana pudding.

It was something Marr was happy to put her name on.

"If people are thanking me, and we did our job, and that makes me really proud of the agency I work for," Marr said.

Marr had an audience while she ate the lunch, but she didn't mind. Adults and kids huddled around her and took pictures and asked her how she handled the stress of the fire.

"I'm just glad the fire is gone, and everybody is safe," Alex, the owner's son, said.

Marr agreed. She's getting used to a different life - one where everyone recognizes her face and more than likely knows her name.

"It's different, you know, people know you everywhere you go, so it's always being aware, 'oh they know me,'" Marr said.

Marr said a lot of people often give her all the credit for keeping people calm those long weeks in June. But, Marr likes to give credit where credit is due.

"After the fire as I sit back and reflect, it's just kinda been really honoring, and for me I don't just take it for myself, I take it for the whole team," she said.

And it's comments like that, that landed her a spot on the menu board at Her Story Cafe, among so many other inspirational women.
