COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- For the third time in as many weeks, the Diamond Shamrock on Palmer Park Boulevard has been robbed.
The latest of the robberies happened early Friday morning when a man walked in holding both a knife and a hammer and stole cash and cigarettes from the store around 2:43 a.m.
Colorado Springs Police officers said the suspect ran off after the robbery, and officers could not track him down. He is a 6' white man in his 20s who wore dark clothing and a black mask, but officers did not release any other information about him.
The gas station was first robbed Oct. 28 when a man with a similar description came in with a hammer and stole money.
A man with the same description had a hammer and knife and stole cash and cigarettes Nov. 4.
