COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Hundreds gathered in downtown Colorado Springs Saturday morning for the annual Veterans Day Parade.

The day started out chilly, but the skies cleared just in time for the parade.

This year's theme was "Iraq Veterans: Defenders of Freedom."

The parade aims to honor all veterans, as well as to education and inspire community awareness, while paying tribute to the service and sacrifices all veterans have endured in the pursuit of freedom.
