Woman found dead in Colorado Springs identified

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers have released the name of the woman who was found dead in the city Friday.

Officers said 39-year-old Christina Cornejo was found dead in an apartment on Cheyenne Villas Point after family members called on officers to check on her.

The coroner ruled Cornejo's death a homicide Friday, the city's 13th of 2012, but has not said exactly now she died.

Officers are searching for 40-year-old Brian Hedglin in connection with Cornejo's death but have not listed any potential charges against him.
